I am a passionate chemistry educator and aspiring graduate. I have experience in chemical research, education research, project management, and personalized teaching. I aim to inspire and cultivate a deeper understanding of chemistry in my students. My prospective research field is materials science.

About me

Biography

I am Md. Naimur Rahman, a dedicated chemist who has recently graduated from the University of Dhaka with a BS Honors in Chemistry with minors in Mathematics and Physics. I have completed my secondary education with an excellent GPA in both my Secondary and Higher Secondary School. Since my college time, I've won two chemistry Olympiads and stood first. I started my research career in several prestigious tertiary education institutions, including the University of Dhaka's Electrochemical Lab, the Red-Green Research Centre's Computational Chemistry Division, and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research's (IISER) Kolkata's Department of Chemical Science.  In addition, I am currently serving as a passionate chemistry teacher at UDVASH and Utkorsho, two of Bangladesh's top tutoring centers. Besides, I regularly make higher secondary and tertiary level chemistry content for my YouTube Channel, OxyChem. I aim to popularize chemistry as a subject of study and encourage students' scientific curiosity which is demonstrated by my leadership positions in several organizations, including Project Chemistry and ChemFusion. One of my great achievements is to win the festival grant from the American Chemical Society to arrange an International ChemFest in Bangladesh in 2022. I am skilled in computational chemistry software and laboratory methods. I am serving the community by doing research and teaching and I will keep continuing these.

  • Prepared a metal-ligand complex that can determine Dopamine and Uric acid simultaneously
  • Electrochemical techniques such as Cyclic voltammetry and Differential Pulse voltammetry have been used to establish the complex.
  • Suggested the complex structure using computational studies which are DFT calculation and Molecular dynamics.
